Teej

Haritalika Teej – Women's Festival in Nepal - Dolma Ecotourism A monsoon season festival which is primarily celebrated by girls and women with song , dance and prayer ritual. In other word it is a it is traditionally dedicated to the Goddess Parvati, remembering  the union with the lord Shiva. 



Teej is a three-day -long celebration that combines splendid feasts as

 well as a rigid fasting . During teej festival Nepalese women will dress in their beautiful red saris, fast to honour Shiva and pray for the happy marriage. It usually takes place in Nepali Bhadra month ( August to september in solar calendar . Puja is particulary held at pashupatinath to commemorate the reunion of Gddesh Parvati and Lord Shiva.
Nepali women's day is generally referred to second day of teej festival.

Teej in Bihar- Pidukiyas, Thekuas and the Festive Fervour – THAT ...In the early morning , Nepalese women go to the mall for large purchases. When the night falls, they'll make a healthy meal and prepare tasty sweets. Good friend will gather together with foods and drinks,perform traditional dances and sing devotional song. Those celebration continues till the mid night.


Nepali Teej Festival is the grand festival coming at the end of the ranny season.at that time the sky is clear and sunshine is cozy. Unmarried girls look forward to  a good marriage in the future .
